Sistemul radicular se dezvolta foarte bine ce confera o rezistenta la seceta si frig. De aceea se adapteaza foarte bine in diferite regiuni de cultivare si poate fi semanata in toata tara. Perioada scurta de regenerare determina un numar mare de cosiri anuale.
Soiul Gea este recomandat atat pentru cosit cat si pentru deshidratare. Plantele sunt de dimensiuni mari cu un continut de proteine mare, timp de inflorire mediu, regenerare: 25-28 zile, longevitate mare. Prezinta o toleranta mare la inghet si seceta precum si o rezistenta crescuta la boli.
